Which sounds cooler – serpentine and stichtite...or...
Atlantisite…
While this stone is a combination of yellow-green serpentine and purple stichtite, it’s not the most inspiring name for a gem, so you will see it marketed as Atlantisite.
Always contentious using a name that ends in -ite as this is commonly used in the naming of gems and minerals and could be considered misleading… As to where this name first came from… well, try searching online and there’s very little information about that!

A tricksy little number to try and photograph… but if you look carefully you may be able to see a metallic sheen on the pavilion facets...
