I thought I would set a little challenge today and show 2 stones. One is rhodonite and the other is rhodochrosite - do you know which is which? 

Rhodonite has dark veins while rhodochrosite has bands of pink and white (sometimes described as looking like bacon... once you get that image in your head it's there forever I'm afraid!). Neither should be confused with rhodolite garnet... Rhodo in all 3 names means rose or rose coloured - much prettier than bacon!
