Lovely golden stone in very good condition with unaided eye, some wear on part of the table facet seen using loupe.  Small chip to girdle which would be hidden with rubover setting.

With a hardness of 7, good toughness and stability, crystalline quartz is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.

Hardness – resistance to scratching and wear

Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals

Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
