Beautiful deep green stone, very good condition with unaided eye, two very tiny chips on edge of table facet seen using loupe.

With a hardness of 7-7.5, fair to good toughness and very good stability, tourmaline is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.

Hardness – resistance to scratching and wear

Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals

Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
