Quartzite with blue dumortierite vein and patches and tiny reflective inclusions.

With a hardness of 6, good toughness and stability, quartzite is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.

Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals

Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
