Light amethyst stones, one very, very slightly darker than the other.  Very good condition with unaided eye and using loupe.

With a hardness of 7, good toughness and stability, crystalline quartz is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.

Hardness – resistance to scratching and wear

Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals

Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
