Very light blue stone, very good condition with unaided eye, some wear on part of the table facet seen using loupe.

Topaz has a hardness of 8, fair to poor toughness and good stability, making it suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, but care should be taken in rings and bracelets and when setting the stones themselves.

Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals

Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
