Silver jewellery making.
We have 5 set projects we work through across 5 days, each building on and reinforcing skills previously learnt. These provide a broad introduction to a number of techniques which students can then continue to build on as they develop their skills.
Introduction to the workshop including Health & Safety
Introduction to jewellery and design
Learning how to make a simple band ring
Designing and making a pierced pendant
Learning how to make a spinner ring
Designing and making stud and drop earrings featuring textures and forming silver
Learning how to make a setting for a cabochon stone then turning this into a ring
A materials pack and handouts are included and tool kits are provided for use in the workshop to allow students to complete these projects.
Please note that you will need to over 18 and a member of JASSO to join this course (costs £20 per year). You will be sent details of how to join when I receive your booking.
Days run from 10am to 4pm and the cost for the course will be £160 tutor’s fee + £50 JASSO workshop fees + £70 materials pack (includes handouts and consumables) totalling £280. You will also need to choose a stone for your ring in the 5th project but that can be anything from £2 upwards depending on your taste and budget!
Please note that you will be notified by Friday 25 June if the course does not have sufficient numbers to run and a refund will be issued for the £280 course fees.
