Message spelt out in goldstone and black agate beads
This Morse Code necklace spells ‘follow your heart’ in goldstone (man-made glass) and black agate beads and measures approx. 42cm/16.5” long. It has a sterling silver T-bar clasp and comes with a gift box and two cards – one with International Morse Code inviting the recipient to decipher the secret message, the other details the message and the stones used in the necklace.
If you would like to buy this as a gift for someone, I am happy to send it to them for you – a lovely way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
I love the idea of jewellery having a special meaning or a sentimental connection for the wearer. I was thinking about Morse Code one day when I was working with these rectangular beads (don’t ask why, I can’t remember but my mind works in strange ways…) and I realised that, combined with their matching round beads, they looked like Morse Code…
Alternating the gemstone as the letters changed allowed me to differentiate between the letters, then I chose some phrases which I felt would work for this collection.
I also loved the idea that the wearer knows what the message is but to anyone else it is just a necklace, making it very personal. To add to the fun I decided to include two cards with the necklaces – one details the message and the gemstones used, the other just features the International Morse Code and allows the recipient to decipher their message, starting at the straight part of the clasp (like the edge of a page) and ending at the round part of the clasp (like a full stop). The final touch is a dark blue gift box with my Morse Code logo on the front.
This collection first came to life in the early 2000s and is being bought out of retirement because I think it is the perfect way to let someone know you are thinking about them in these difficult times. I hope that you find a message that means something to you.
