Varying tones of pink forming a striking pattern.  Please note this is a flatter cabochon with a flat back and only a slightly domed top.

With a hardness of 4, fair toughness and fair stability, rhodochrosite is best suited for use in pendants, earrings and brooches and consideration should be given before setting in rings and bracelets and while setting the stone.
