Sodalite is a blue opaque rock veined with white or orange/pink which is found in Namibia, Norway, Canada and USA.
With a hardness of 5.5-6, fair to good toughness and fair stability, this stone may be used for earrings, pendants and brooches but it may show signs of abrasion and wear in rings, bracelets or cufflinks and care needs to be taken when setting this stone.
