Hawk’s-eye is the blue form of tiger’s-eye, both opaque polycrystalline forms of quartz.  With a hardness of 6, excellent toughness and good stability, they are suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflink, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.
