Angelite is a pale blue anhydrite which was discovered in Peru in 1987.

With a hardness of 3.5, this stone is not suitable for rings or bracelets and care needs to be taken when designing for this stone and when working with it.

• Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals
• Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
