Tones of green from dark through to very pale.

The banding of light and dark green tones in malachite is very distinctive but these have been polished to display the patterning within the stone in a more interesting fashion.  Resin coated to improve durability.

With a hardness of 4, fair to good toughness and poor stability, malachite is best suited for use in pendants, earrings, and brooches but care should be taken in rings and bracelets and when setting the stones themselves.  Abrasion and wear are likely to occur in rings and bracelets.
