Deep blue-grey with dusky orange-pink with off-white and brown small marking.

From a parcel purchased at a good price so I am passing the savings along!

This stone is not a traditional cabochon with flat back and domed top, it is a slice, slightly rounded and polished on both the front and back.

Jasper is an opaque polycrystalline form of quartz.  With a hardness of 6, excellent toughness and good stability, jasper is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.

• Stability – resistance to alteration by light, heat or chemicals
• Toughness – resistance to fracture, cleavage or cracking
