Off white to colourless body with orange sparkling flashes.

This translucent feldspar has hematite platelet inclusions which appear orange.  With a hardness of 6, good stability but poor toughness and good cleavage, sunstone is best suited for use in pendants, earrings, and brooches but care should be taken in rings and bracelets and when setting the stones themselves.
