This variety of jasper is found in Indonesia and is an opaque polycrystalline form of quartz.  With a hardness of 6, excellent toughness and good stability, jasper is suitable for use in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks, although abrasion and wear may occur in rings and bracelets.
